Dexter Community Players is excited to announce auditions for Matilda Jr.!
Directed by Brynn Arnall and music directed by Megan Smania Watts. This production calls for youth performers ages 6-18.
Audition dates: November 4 & 5 from 6:30 - 8:30
Callbacks will be on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. (by invitation only)
Location: Bates Elementary School - 2704 Baker Rd, Dexter MI 48130
Sign-Up: Please sign up for an audition time using this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0F4CA9A723AAFC1-52028384-matilda#/ Everyone will be seen; however, those with an audition time will be given priority, so please sign up in advance!
What to bring: Please bring a completed audition form and a photo of your performer. Audition forms can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16eL0rjFxGjKQiIHWI38ANfyOZ59R4VVe/view?usp=sharing
What to expect: Auditionees should sing a 1 minute cut of a song in the style of the show. Songs from the show are fine. Please bring a backing track and a device that can be connected to a Bluetooth speaker. There will be no accompanist available to play sheet music. Auditionees will also do a short dance combination, so please come dressed to move with appropriate footwear.
Performance dates: January 24-26 at the Jane Tasch Theatre in Pinckney. Rehearsals will be Monday-Thursday beginning November 11, 2024. Rehearsals through December will be in Dexter. Rehearsals beginning in January will be in Pinckney. Not everyone will be called to all rehearsals.
